Disney Quest an Indoor Arcade at Disney World

Disney Quest is a massive five story indoor video game complex in Downtown Disney at Disney World. It’s broken into  different areas by theme.

For example one area is all pinball machines and another is all classic arcade games.

My kids favorite area is the game area that has all kid games like Chuck E. Cheese.

Disney Quest

Animation Academy – Here on level 2 you will learn step by step how to draw one of your favorite Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, or Pluto.

Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride – Here you put on a special helmet and fly your carpet through the alleys and streets of Agrabah. In this first photo you see the thing you have to wear on your head. The visor then sits on the helmet. It is heavy and bothered my small kids a little.

Virtual Jungle Cruise – You climb aboard a raft and paddle with a real paddle down a prehistoric river. You even get splashed along the way

Another virtual game is a Star Wars game where you are fighting people with light sabers.

There are rooms full of race car games and they even have Star War airplanes you can race. They were surprisingly difficult to maneuver.

Summer Bay Resort House - Orlando, Florida

Summer Bay Resort Summer Bay Resort has oversized 3 bedroom houses with 1 car garages and private pools for families to stay in when they are in Orlando.

The houses are large. I think you could easily have two families share a house. Our house had a nice view of the lake there on the property and was close to two of the resorts pools. We did use those pools though, because our house came with an enclosed private pool.

You can rent these houses or get through time share exchange. We did a timeshare exchange through RCI to stay here and it took about 80,000 points for a 4 night stay and an exchange fee of $99.

This resort had numerous amenities including a splash pad, play grounds, pools, and more. We did not have time to spend at any of these or I would have pictures.

Flying Fish Cafe at Disney World

Flying Fish Cafe at Disney's Boardwalk

IMG_2361Flying Fish Cafe is an upscale restaurant located near the Boardwalk Resort at Disney World next door to Kat Cora’s restaurant Kouzinna. Flying Fish is one of the more expensive places to dine at Disney World. Our bill for the five of us, including tip was about $170. I actually thought it would be over $200, so it wasn’t as expensive as I thought it would be.

It was a great place to take the kids. Although you will be dining there for a while, it’s not nearly as long as California Grill or Jiko. The kid meal prices ranged from $7 - $12, which is not bad at all. There is a slight dress code. I recommend collard shirts for boys and a sundress for girls.

The inside of the restaurant was small, but really neat and different. There are flying fish hanging from the ceiling. A bar wraps around the kitchen where participate in the Chef’s Tasting Wine Dinner a 5-course prix fixe menu with wine and you can interact with the culinary team.

Flying Fish Cafe Desserts

The highlight of our dining experience here was dessert. I had read about Mickey’s Chocolate Puzzle dessert and all the reviews were spot on. It’s an awesome dessert for kids. .It’s made of white chocolate pieces that your kids put together to make a picture of Mickey. Then they can paint the chocolate picture with sugar paints. It also comes with a cupcake.    Mickey's Chocolate Puzzle at Flying Fish
