Walking along the Seine river in Paris, France

Paris, France is just as beautiful as everyone says it is.  I only had an eight hour layover there and to maximize what I got to see I walk around the city.  I mostly walked along the Seine river towards the Eiffel Tower from Notre Dame Cathedral.  Here are photos I took along the way.

Notre Dame Cathedral - Paris, France

The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France was stunning.  The stain glass windows were beautiful as were the many paintings.  They have kept the cathedral in great condition. 

This picture is a little blurry, but I wanted to show the date 1163!

It is free admission to get in.  Although there was a huge line to get in when I went the lined moved quickly.

Eiffel Tower

With an eight and a half hour layover in Paris, I did not waste it by sitting in the aiport! Instead, I took the train into the city and saw some sights. Here's pictures of the Eiffel Tower I took.














Turns out the day I was there was Bastille Day. Bastille day is the French National day, like the 4th of July in America. There were people everywhere! The lines for everything were so long! I walked all the way around, since it was roped off for the celebration that evening.
