Wondering what to see in Rome? Go see the Borghese Gallery. It's the Borghese's family's private collection.

I was impressed with the Borghese Gallery, especially some of the sculptures they have, like Daphne and Apollo by Bernini. Two of the sculptures they have there are leaps and bounds more impressive than any others we saw.


We could not take pictures inside so I just posted a few of the outside and the surrounding park it is in.

We are near the Roman Forum and it was very windy! We had such a great view from the top of the monument to the Unknown Solider

These pictures were taken at Italy's Tomb of the Unknown Solider. I thought it was very impressive. It is free and you can walk pretty much all the way around it and inside a little bit.

Hotel Milton Roma

Looking for a hotel in Rome? We chose to stay at the Rome hotel, Hotel Milton Roma.

Here are a few picture of our room. It was small but it had air conditioning! The bathroom was very small and the shower was really small and you couldn't keep it from flooding the bathroom. The location is not the greatest, but the bus stop and subway station are right outside the door! It is within walking distance of the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

The greatest thing about this hotel was the breakfast. They put out quite the spread! Eggs, bacon, lots of coffee choices, fresh bread with yummy jams, fruit, meat cheese, tomatoes and mozzarella, all kinds of pastries and more.
