Eczema cream

As most of you know two of my kids suffer from eczema. We struggle year round with both of them to keep it under control. I have a hard time finding good products to treat it, because my daughter is allergic to oats.
We have recently started using a new product that I like so I thought I would share it with you. It is called CeraVe. We have used the moisturizing cream which I think works really well if you can get past the some what odd smell. We have also used their cleansing lotion, but I would not recommend it for shampooing, but just as a body wash.

Patton: The Pursuit of Destiny

I thought Patton: The Pursuit of Destiny was an okay book. I couldn't wait to start reading it after the introduction.  I wish the whole book had been written as good as the intro.
This was a broad over view of Patton's life, but he could have written much more. He skims over many of the aspects of Patton's life. The author also spoke of various events and then never followed up with the eventual outcome of these events.  I was curious about Patton's family, but there is almost no mention of them.
I did like the perspective this author took in sticking to facts instead of the movie persona of Patton.

Fantasmic at Disney Studios

At Disney World's Disney Studios several nights a week they have a performance called Fantasmic.  It is not to be missed!  This show starts at dark and they usually run it twice as long as there's good weather.
In Fantasmic Mickey falls asleep and is confronted by his nightmares, but he defeats them and everyone lives happily ever after.  Of Course!
This show is a combination of water, movie, lights, smoke, fireworks, black light and more.Fantasmic at Disney World at Disney Studios

I'm a Buzz Agent

As a stay at home mom I am always looking for little ways to contribute. One of my favorite ways is by being a buzz agent.   In other words a product reviewer.  I don't get paid, but I do get a little kit with free stuff to try out.  Right now I'm a buzz agent for Elmer's glue and X-Acto through Buzzagent.com.  I'm trying out several of their fantastic glue and cutting products for scrapbooking.  Here is a picture of the items they sent me.

Once I am done trying them out I "buzz" about them. As in tell other people. If they send me coupons then I pass those out to people.  Then I go to the website and fill out a few things. Simple things to get a few fun freebies!

Coverdell - A Great way to save for College

On my last money Monday I mentioned a good way to save for college that I stumbled across while learning to invest. It is called a Coverdell plan. This year you can max it out at $2000. After this year, unless the government keeps it at two thousand, it will drop back to $500 a year. What I like about this account is that you choose how it is invested. It isn't just another mutual fund or money market account. As long as you use the money made for college the earnings are tax free! I only set up one of these accounts because if my oldest doesn't use it I can transfer it on the next child without penalties.

Again, I found myself wondering what to pick to invest the money in. Since I am a little unsure of myself still I decided to only invest half of it on the stock I chose. That way if I was wrong I would not lose too much money! To decide which stock I looked through my watch list and started checking the numbers again. (Rule #1 Investing). Because I am unsure I went with what I thought would be a somewhat safe bet. As in put it in Warren Buffett's brk.b. I figure even if I am still uneasy with this whole process Warren Buffett knows what he is doing. (and the numbers were good). So, in this case it was Phil Town's advice on good management that helped me make the decision.

8 Ways to have a blast at Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween party!

Here are a few tips to make sure your family trip to Walt Disney World's Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween party is wonderful for the whole family.
Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween party Magic Kingdom Disney World
1) Don't bother taking in bags or buckets. They have bags you can use and they are more than enough to hold your goodies and if it isn't they will just give you another bag.

2) Everyone in the family can dress up including the parents. ALL the kids will be dressed up! If you don't bring your child in costume you will end up at the store buying a $60 one by the end of the night!

3) Dress for hot weather.  Do not assume because it is evening time that you will be okay in a hot costume.  Orlando does not cool that much in the evening in October.

4) Don't be a candy regulator.  I saw several parents getting on to their child and making an issue about how much candy they were eating.  One mom told her child only 3 pieces and then that was it.  You are at Disney World and they are throwing candy at you.  Do not damper the fun by making an issue out of it.  I can tell you from watching those families it wasn't worth it.

5) Get out there and dance!  No one knows who you are, so who cares what you look like when you dance!

6) Get there by 3:45 PM.  This way by the time you park, ride the shuttle and take the tram into the Magic Kingdom you will able to get right in.  By getting there early you insure that you will have time to ride several rides before the dance parties begin.

7) Do not miss the parade.  It is a fabulous villain parade and it can only be seen at this party.

8) Do not sit to close to the castle for the fireworks.  If you do you will not be able to see the fireworks.  The best place to sit is to the right of the castle towards Tomorrowland.
