Then I found out that some of my friends in Oregon are also doing this. So I just signed up. Who doesn't want to make money back when they shop! I have copied their blurb below:

Confesssions of a Shopaholic - Book Review

I love to read! So, I have decide to add an occasional book review. Don't worry they won't be too wordy since I am a pretty basic gal and I don't want to spoil any of the book for my readers. Last week I read
Confessions of a Shopaholic (Movie Tie-in Edition)

I thought Confessions of a Shopaholic was pretty good overall. I did not enjoy the first two thirds of the book. I am not really into clothes. I mean, I like to look nice, but if I see something in the store I don't go crazy over it. I found it annoying to read paragraph after paragraph about one item of clothing. I didn't like the character, but once she changes for the better it is a good book. The ending was great. There is a whole series so I am glad I stuck with it because I am looking forward to the other books.

Priceline

Chose Your Exact Flight & Time!

I use several websites when planning a trip. For about the last year I have been very successful with Priceline.com. I have gotten a reasonable plane ticket through the name your own price as well as hotel stays. We paid $40 for a one night stay at a very nice Holiday Inn hotel in Tallahasee and we paid $33 a night for the brand new Hilton Garden in near Sea World in Orlando. You can't really beat those kinds of deals!

Free Books for children - Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Dolly's Imagination Library
Dolly's Imagination Library (Photo credit: MrSchuReads)
The Imagination Library is a program that can be found in various communities throughout the United State and I think a few other countries. You can enroll your child in the program if it is available in your community. Your child will receive a free book in the mail every month until they turn 5.

From their website: In 1996, Dolly Parton launched an exciting new effort to benefit the children of her home county in east Tennessee. Dolly wanted to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families. She wanted children to be excited about books and to feel the magic that books can create. Moreover, she could insure that every child would have books, regardless of their family’s income. So she decided to mail a brand new, age appropriate book each month to every child under 5 in Sevier County. With the arrival of every child’s first book, the classic The Little Engine That Could ™, every child could now experience the joy of finding their very own book in their mail box. These moments continue each month until the child turns 5—and in their very last month in the program they receive Look Out Kindergarten Here I Come.

Unfortunately, I do not have this program in my community but my brother lives in Auburn, NY and they do have the program there.
