Bali Hai resort in Kauai Hawaii

On our family vacation to Hawaii we stayed at the Bali Hai resort in Princeville on the island of Kauai. The north side of the island.  It was a great place. If you follow that link you can get more info on it. I am posting pictures that I took of the place and  the room we stayed in.  Although it was very nice, it certainly does not look like the pictures on their website.

The grounds were well kept and the pool was in the middle of the property so it was easily walked to.  It really was not within walking distance of anything else.  You will have to have a rental car to stay here.

This is a picture of the living room.  The couch did not make into a bed.  There was a good size kitchen with everything you might need and a small dining area.

The 2nd bedroom had two twin beds and a full bathroom.  The mater bedroom was big and had a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.

The pool was zero entry and has a sand bottom.  The sand is rough.

The pool was a good size, but the hot tub was small and not that hot.

If we went back we would gladly stay here again, if we could not find something somewhere else on the island.  I think Princeville is too far from Poipu Beach and the west side of the island.  I would rather stay in Poipu or the west side, because those areas are much warmer.

Kauai, Hawaii

We didn't spend much time in our room (at Bali Hai a timeshare place), but here it is. I believe it is a Wyndam property now. It was quite nice with a zero entry into the pool and hot tub. Our room was a two bedroom, two bath. The master bedroom had a jacuzzi tub.

Bali Hai Kauai Hawaii There is a lighthouse on the north east side of Kauai. It took three times to see it, but it was finally open the third time we went by. We watched for whales here, since this is suppose to be a good spot to see them. We never saw any here.

Noah enjoyed snorkeling for the first time at Poipu beach. He saw many fish and even a sea turtle. This is an awesome area and if we went back, this is where we would stay. The snorkeling was fantastic and it was incredibly warm for January, 80 degrees! We never went to the beach without our Beach Sun Shade and thank goodness we didn't because he took lots of naps in it.

Poipu Beach Kauai Hawaii I can not remember the name of this beach but it is on the west side just south and the Navel base. That's right I said Navel base! There is a base, Barking Sands Navel base, on the west side of Kauai. Barking Sands has two bedroom cabins that military people can stay in for about $70 a night. You could throw a rock and hit the ocean it was so close to it. It is very warm on this side of the island and was Noah's first chance to boogie board. it's now one of his new favorite things to do! Jonah also enjoyed playing on the boards!

North side of Kauai Hawaii

Hawaii was awesome. It is one of those places you think you would like to go and think you never will. Or atleast that was what Hawaii was to me. I really loved the fact that we were in a tropical environment in the middle of winter and we were still in America.

This was Anini Beach. You can tent camp here.

Tunnels Beach on the north side. The beach was nice, but a little cold. There was a huge cave that we walked through.

Hanalei beach on the north side. This area was not as warm as some other parts of the island. Only 70 degress in December!
