Epcot’s Flower and Garden festival is one of the best times to visit Epcot. Each spring during the festival they bring out topiary that they’ve spent years growing and grooming into Disney Characters. This year I was only at Epcot at night and my pictures didn't come out that great. So, I've included a few from Inside the Magic that they shared publicly.

Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot

One of the best times to go to Epcot is during their annual Flower and Garden festival that takes place each spring. Everywhere you look the topiary has come to life as Disney characters.

During the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot, Disney World places 3 or 4 playgrounds around Epcot. Our favorite Epcot playground is the weeblos playground. It can usually be found at the entrance to the Worlds.

Also, during the flower and garden festival they have out a butterfly garden. You walk through one side and then pop out in fairy garden. During this time they also have special concerts and educational displays.

Gardening with kids

Garden with Kids

I think for the most part spring has arrived for most people and a great spring activity is planting a garden with your kids. It may also be a great way to get them to eat a vegetables!

Gardening with kids is actually fairly easy and it's nice to have a little help with the work.  Start by developing a plan! Talk to your kids about their favorite food and colors. Have them draw out what they think their garden should look like.

Next find a good space. If you need to, just use containers. Plant seeds or seedlings and let the kids use child sized tools! I let my kids do all of the watering, because this seems to be their favorite part for some reason.

Finally make picking the flowers of veggies a family activity.

Thus far my kids have enjoyed growing some stuff better than others. They love growing strawberries and picking them. I think they like peas/beans and radishes because they seem to grow faster.

This year the kids are the most excited to grow pumpkins and corn!activities with kids
