Shows aboard the Disney Fantasy

Disney Fantasy Cruise
Have you ever seen a live show that blew you away?

All three shows aboard the Disney Fantasy were impressive. I think they know how good they are, so they show you a marvelous show the first night. Then the next night they out do themselves. By the third show people are leaping to their feet. The audience can barely contain themselves. At times you forget your on a ship. The talent is over flowing and the sets are stunningly elaborate.

The three Disney cruise ship shows I got to enjoy were Wishes, Aladdin, and Believe.
Disney Fantasy Cruise
Wishes - Disney Fantasy show

Wishes is about three teenagers that are about to graduate high school. One of them is trying hard to be "grown up". Throughout the show she realizes she is not living in the moment, because she is so focused on the future.

Aladdin on the Disney Fantasy Cruise ship
Aladdin stays true to the original Disney movie. They've done an amazing job bringing this story to the stage. The actor playing the Genie has such talent, I'm sure he could perform a one man show. At one
Disney Fantasy Cruise
Disney Fantasy Cruise ship's live show Believe
point it rained money. It was so cute to watch the kids scramble to getthe Aladdin dollars.

Believe was a treat to watch. In this one a dad is to focused on work and prestige. The dad ignores his daughter and tells her there is not such thing as magic. Through a long journey (compliments of the Genie)
he comes to realize that there is magic all around him and the most magical thing of all, his daughter.

I highly recommend all three shows. I would watch all three of them
again. They're perfect for all ages. There's even a splash of (clean)
adult humor sprinkled throughout the shows. I have not seen Believe on the Disney Dream, but Kim from TravelingMom.com told me that it was a
little different.

Disney Fantasy's: Desserts

My trip aboard the Disney Fantasy was wonderful. I truly enjoyed all of my time aboard the ship. The
food was delicious and endless, just as it should be on a cruise. I especially
enjoyed trying all the desserts. I think I tried four desserts at every meal.
Obviously, there will be no tips on not gaining weight on a cruise here on my
blog! Here are some photos of the various desserts I tried.

The first two pictures are from dinner at the Royal Court Restaurant.
Sundae

Vanilla Ice Cream, Whipped Cream, and Angel Food Cake

Sweet Temptations
A trio of Peanut Butter Mousse, Mango Cheesecake, and Tahitian Vanilla Crème Brûlée

These two are from the Enchanted Garden restaurant.

Disney Cruise ship "Horn Off"

One of the funniest moments on the Disney Fantasy cruise was when the Disney Dream pulled up at Castaway Cay and the two ships begin to play their horns back and forth. This video is of their "Horn Off" it went on for five minutes, but this video is just a minute or so.

Pirate Show and Fireworks aboard the Disney Fantasy

This video is of one of the shows you can see while on your Disney Fantasy cruise, a pirate show. One of the nights you are on board they'll have a pirate show where Captain Jack Sparrow fights off the enemies. Captain Jack will at one point set off a fireworks show.

It's an elaborate show that goes on for quite a while. You can see it from multiple places on the ship. I think the best place to see it is on the right hand side of the stage up on the balcony. You can see different view points in the video to give you an idea of where you might like to stand/sit.

Disney Fantasy Cruise Sailing Away Party

Disney sure knows how to throw a party. Here's a video of the sailing away deck party aboard the Disney Fantasy ship on the inaugural cruise. It last much longer than 3 minutes, but I narrowed it down to some highlights of the party.

Disney Fantasy's Senses Salon and Spa

Senses Salon and Spa aboard the Disney Fantasy is exceptional. They had a little bit of everything and the prices allowed for most to be able to afford something there, even if just a day pass.

Aqua Duck water ride on the Disney Fantasy

While on the Disney Fantasy Cruise I had the chance to ride the Aquaduck and have it filmed. I look like an idiot, but the video will still give you an idea of what to expect on the ride. It is not scary at all.

Sunrise in Castaway Cay

Is there anything more beautiful than a striking sunrise? The morning the Disney Fantasy got to Castaway Cay I was greeted with this sunrise. It was quite and beautiful morning.

The Disney Fantasy cruise ship is Truly Grand

If you thought the outside of the Disney Fantasy ship was grand, just wait until you see the inside. Immediately upon entering you are meet with the full richness of the ship.

This is the main lobby and it's the first thing you see when you get on board. The blue, pink, and green chandelier is in the middle of the lobby.

Even the carpet is beautiful.

There's art everywhere. The blown glass you see here is in the ceiling of Palo restaurant.

Disney Fantasy Stateroom

The staterooms aboard the Disney Fantasy ship are plush. I've cruised before and my room wasn't 1/10th as nice as Fantasy's rooms.

Upon entering the room the thing I'm most surprised by is how large it is. That's a queen size bed. The bed is raised up off the floor an extra 3 inches, making a perfect place to store your suitcases. Out that door is a balcony with two chairs and a table.
There are small lamp tables on each side of the bed. The alarm clock also charges an ipod/iPhone.
There are two separate bathrooms. The first one you see has a toilet, sink, and a vanity with storage.

The second bathroom has a bathtub and a sink. There's a clothesline over the bathtub for drying bathing suits. You can see the two shelves next to the mirror. They really add to the counter space.

This photo is facing the door to the hallway. On the left you see the two bathrooms and on the right there are  two closets. There is also a nice cabinet and three drawers. That is what the inside of one of my closets looked like.

The coffee table opens up and can be used for storage.  The couch is also a fold out bed and above the couch is a bunk that comes down from the ceiling.
I did not take this photo in my room, but I had the exact set up in mine. Desk with outlets compatible with all countries, flat screen tv, postcards, pen, paper, and ice bucket. The desk is where they keep the hair dryer.
